Offering this MOOC, we aim not only to equip the participants with essential skills for creating massive open online courses but also to contribute to Albania's educational and digital development by adapting to the rapid changes in educational technologies in education. Some of the main reasons to offer this MOOC are: To empower instructional designers, e-learning specialists, professionals, teachers, and educators by equipping them with the skills to design and deliver high-quality MOOCs tailored to the Albanian context, learning how to create MOOCs, furthermore will help teachers, lecturers to use as a tool to spread knowledge in specific fields addressing specific local needs, including rural and underserved areas, learning to plan and create a MOOC will contribute to the lifelong learning process, promoting Digital Transformation in Education and supporting the adaption toward digital learning by fostering expertise in e-learning and modern educational technology, fostering Innovation in Teaching and integrate the use of MOOCs in curriculum design, using how to design and create MOOCs will serve as a way of spreading essential knowledge of nowadays, and providing necessary certificates needed in the labor market.

Education of Active Citizenship for a Global Society in Schools

This course aims to equip educators with the knowledge and skills to teach values essential for students' active participation in a globalized world. As Albania aspires to join the European Union, this course is designed to address several key areas:

Empowering Educators: The course provides teachers with the knowledge and tools to integrate global issues such as sustainability, human rights, and diversity into their lessons. It goes beyond traditional teaching methods by fostering critical thinking and encouraging civic engagement.

Fostering Global Responsibility: By promoting active citizenship, the course aims to inspire students to take meaningful action both locally and globally in a better way. Teachers are encouraged to create learning environments that support student-led initiatives and community involvement.

Basic skills of being an European citizen

This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of European Citizenship, and how to actively engage students in promoting it in their schools and communities. Participants will learn the importance and benefits of being active citizens and participating in democratic processes. During the course, participants will learn about European citizenship, the EU institutions, and their role in shaping active European citizens. They will also learn about the EU’s values and principles, and how to integrate them into their classroom and school activities. Participants will be engaged in group discussions, activities, and simulations of EU decision-making processes, to apply their knowledge and develop their civic skills. They will develop the critical thinking, civic skills, and knowledge necessary to promote European Citizenship in their schools and communities.

European Legislation for Educating European Citizens

This course is designed as a micro-credential to provide educators and professionals with targeted, practical knowledge of European legislative frameworks that shape education and citizenship. As a micro-credential, it will certify learners' expertise in promoting EU values, inclusivity, and active citizenship in educational settings. Learners can apply this credential to demonstrate their commitment to fostering democratic engagement and social cohesion, enhancing their qualifications and credibility in European education projects, school policy development, and community engagement initiatives. The goal of this course is to equip learners with a foundational understanding of European legislation impacting education, empowering them to foster active citizenship and inclusivity in their educational environments by applying key EU principles and values. Through this course, learners will develop the knowledge and tools that help to integrate European legislative frameworks into educational practices that support democratic engagement and social cohesion.
